Since its institution in 1954, The faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi has seen significant growth to emerge as one of India's premier management education establishments. Staring with a three year management education program, FMS now offers part time and full time options as well.
The 50 year old institution focuses on development thought leadership though its curriculum comprising of field work, case studies and instrumented feedback.
Located in Delhi, the national capital, amidst the industrial hub and within the campus of University of Delhi, FMS students enjoy the privilege of presence in the city and the university.
Information Technology: The campus is well connected and is provided with infrastructure backup servicing class rooms, hostel and libraries, video-conferencing facilities and internet in addition to the computer center. The computer center is well equipped with a variety of application and design software, several business management software and various business games. The campus also houses a well stocked library. Separate hostels fro women and men are also available.
Management Science Association: the association facilitates learning by engaging in functional responsibilities, community activities and social proceedings and off-campus company projects in addition to class-room education.
Marketing Society: The society aims at setting up a centre of academic excellence to establish FMS as a leading global marketing campus.
Systems Society: The students gain exposure to the best practices followed in the technology world through this forum.
Finance Society: This student run group encourages Finance as a core opportunity and supports the cause by being the interface between the students, faculty and industry.
HR & OB Society: Students are prepared for the real world by focusing on "People and Self Management" through seminars, workshops, guest lectures and other events (games, quizzes).
iCons-International Conferences: Specific topics are discussed in detail during symposiums organized where experts from various related fields contribute their opinion and suggestions.
Culture and Sports: FMS considers physical endurance as a requirement to meet the corporate world and this is focused by the Sports association while cultural affairs organizes local trips, concerts, melas and first year student orientation programme.
Fiesta & Convention: FMS Management Fiesta enables the development of skills in various fields like "Marketing, Finance, Systems, Operations, HR and Strategy through live cases, paper presentation contests, management simulation, online games, workshops and quizzes."
Consulting Club: In this club, future consultants are prepared through exposure in various aspects including Management Consulting, Process/Operations Consulting, Risk Advisory, IT Consulting and Benchmarking Advisory.
S. P. Jain Advanced Research Centre
Since its establishment in 1982, the Shanti Prasad Jain Advanced Management Research Centre has been active in promoting education/training of executives, managers and academicians related to management as well as in supporting management research.
